Polished picks also have the disadvantage that you only get standard edges, and a standard polish. That's why so many people used to go for unfinished picks. Guitarists enjoyed filing, sanding and polishing away, getting closer to their perfect pick each time. D.I.Y: The less rounded the edges, the more overtones. The (sometimes) nicely rounded edge of regular plectrums may have advantages for beginners, but a more angular edge gives more possibilities to express yourself during playing. A little tip from us ? the edges can stay straight and angled. The only part which needs to be polished is the tip. Straight edges have a decisive advantage ? you can feel them better, which means they're not as prone to be dropped accidentily. Or just let them stay natural! There are enough guitarists around who can handle a totally unpolished plectrum real well. A ?raw? pick has a lot of advantages ? far more overtones, far better for making your strings squeak and squeal! Material: The picks are made from genuine celluloid. Only one colour ? black. State & Stock: Standard shape, but slightly smaller than today's standards. Available only as heavies (about 1mm thick). These picks feature a well-polished surface, whereas the edges are as rough
as they were when they left the punch. We have enough of these picks stocked for
a steady supply ? at least for the time being. Add a few to your collection and
play the rest. Customers have also bought the following items
