Black Diamond Nickel Black Coated

These strings are coated with a polyurethane film which is only a few thousandths of a millimeter thick. Beneath the coating is a regular nickel string.

Black Diamond states that they ?only? last twice as long as regular strings. And that's the truth, and this string maker is quote honest to say so.

The polyurethane coating disappears  with time, and the nickel beneath lets the string sound new for another week or so.
